As a part of a significant shuffle of IPS officers in Tamil Nadu, the state authorities on Tuesday transferred Metropolis Police Commissioner AK Viswanathan and a bunch of different officers.
Mr Viswanathan will likely be changed by Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal, in accordance with a House Division order issued late on Tuesday.
Mr Viswanathan has been posted as ADGP, Operations, Chennai, vice Aggarwal.
The Commissioners of Madurai and Tirupur, S Davidson Devasirvatham and Sanjay Kumar, respectively, had been additionally transferred out of their current postings.
Mmr Devasirvatham is ADGP, Technical Companies, Chennai whereas Mr Kumar is IGP, Technical Companies.
Prem Anand Sinha is Commissioner, Madurai Metropolis.
A number of different senior IPS officers had been additionally transferred.
