Tiruvannamalai, Tamiil Nadu:
A person allegedly tried to sexually assault an American lady in Tamil Nadu’s Tiruvannamalai on Sunday, following which he was arrested, the police mentioned.
The person, a local of Namakkal, who was roaming across the temple city falsely claiming to be a saint “tried to sexually assault” the lady, a senior police official mentioned.
“We’re questioning him, investigation is happening and nothing extra may very well be divulged now,” information company PTI quoted the senior official as saying.
Reportedly, the lady was staying in a rented lodging in pursuit of spiritualism.
Tiruvannamalai in Tamil Nadu, dotted with a number of ashrams, is fashionable for the traditional Sri Arunachaleswara temple and lots of spiritually inclined individuals have made this city their house.
