A 40-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly kidnapping and raping a minor woman in North Delhi’s Sadar Bazaar space, police stated on Monday.
The accused, Sudama, resided in Nabi Karim space and labored as a cart puller in Sadar Bazaar, they stated.
The incident happened on Friday night time.
The eight-year-old woman was sleeping along with her grandmother exterior their home when the accused took her to a close-by place and raped her, they stated.
In accordance with police, when the woman’s grandmother awoke and didn’t discover the kid, she alerted a member of the family.
Although the woman returned to the home, she began bleeding the subsequent morning. The household then rushed her to a hospital and knowledgeable the police.
For the reason that sufferer solely spoke Marathi, police took assist from a girl who spoke the language to work together with the woman. The sufferer narrated her ordeal and managed to offer an outline of the accused. The accused was arrested on Saturday.
