Police have arrested a person who allegedly posed as an aide of Haryana Sports activities Minister Sandeep Singh to cheat individuals by promising them jobs.
Mandeep Saini was arrested by Kurukshetra police on Saturday, police stated.
On Sunday, a courtroom right here remanded the accused to one-day police custody.
Police stated Saini, a resident of village Tangoli in Kurukshetra district, allegedly defrauded individuals by promising jobs to them and their relations.
Maya Ram, a resident of village Surmi in Pehowa block, lodged a police criticism alleging Saini had duped him and 7 others of Rs 78,560 on the pretext of offering jobs to their households.
The minister, at a press convention Saturday, stated he bought a criticism in regards to the man posing as his aide.
“I’ve nothing to do with such individuals,” he stated, including the BJP-led Haryana authorities has been giving jobs to individuals purely on the idea of benefit with none favouritism.
