A father-son duo was allegedly thrashed inside a police station for not sporting masks in Gujarat’s Jamnagar, prompting authorities to droop 4 policemen, stated officers on Thursday.

A head constable and three constables have been suspended following the alleged incident, they stated.

However, the duo, Ghanshyam Udeshi and his son Nishant, who’re hospitalised, have been booked for allegedly assaulting policemen, stated the officers.

The alleged incident befell inside a police station in Kalavad city of Jamnagar district on Tuesday.

The Udeshis have been booked below IPC sections 186 (obstructing public servant), 332 (inflicting harm to public servant), 353 (use of drive towards public servant) and 506-2 (legal intimidation), police stated.
