Three individuals had been arrested for violating social distancing and lockdown norms, enforced by the Maharashtra authorities in a bid to comprise COVID-19, to have a good time a birthday, the Mumbai Police mentioned on Tuesday.

Based on the police, the accused recognized as Haris Khan (25), had referred to as over 25 folks to the terrace of his constructing in Bandra on the intervening evening of Saturday and Sunday, and was seen chopping 25 muffins with a sword, surrounded by friends.

A video of the celebrations surfaced on social media and a primary data report (FIR) was filed towards Khan and his friends on the Bandra police station.

“They’ve been charged underneath Sections 188, 269 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) whereas Khan has additionally been booked underneath Arms Act,” Nikhil Kapse, a senior officer of Bandra police mentioned.
