One individual was killed and 7 others have been injured when an LPG cylinder exploded in a flat and led to the collapse of a standard wall separating two flats in Pimpri Chinchwad township of Maharashtra’s Pune district on Sunday morning, police stated.

The blast befell within the flat belonging to Surwade household at a housing society in Dighi space, however an individual from Temkar household, residing within the adjoining condo, died after the wall separating the 2 homes collapsed because of the blast impression, they stated.

“The explosion befell round 7.30 am on Sunday, when one Archana Surwade turned on the fuel range in her flat. The explosion was so highly effective that the widespread wall between the flats of Surwades and Temkars collapsed,” Dighi police station’s senior inspector Vivek Lawand stated.

When the wall collapsed, Dnyaneshwar Temkar, who may need been close to the wall, bought trapped beneath its particles and died on the spot, he stated.
