The police on Thursday recovered Rs 31.68 lakh unaccounted money from a passenger travelling in a Jalandhar-bound bus, officers mentioned.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Hoshiarpur, Navjot Singh Mahal mentioned throughout checking, the police recovered Rs 31,68,950 from a passenger recognized as Sukhwinder.
He did not furnish any legitimate paperwork to assist the case, he mentioned, including Sukhwinder claimed that he was working as a helper at a jewelry store in Pathankot.
The SSP mentioned the police had referred to as officers of the Revenue Tax Division for additional investigation.
