An assault with a meat cleaver in Paris that left two individuals wounded Friday was “clearly an act of Islamist terrorism”, French Inside Minister Gerald Darmanin stated.
“It is the road the place Charlie Hebdo was, that is the way in which the Islamist terrorists function,” Darmanin advised broadcaster France 2, referring to the satirical weekly attacked in 2015 by fundamentalist gunmen. “It is a new bloody assault on our nation.”
