The Pentagon on Thursday introduced a $342 million contract has been awarded to British pharmaceutical big GlaxoSmithKline to ship “mass portions of COVID-19 vaccines” to US troops.
It mentioned GSK was the one firm to make a bid for the contract, which can include supporting “army places and personnel all through the continental US and out of doors the continental US.”
The work will likely be carried out in North Carolina “with an estimated completion date of Feb. 28, 2021,” the Pentagon mentioned.
The US Military will supervise execution of the venture.
