Arnab Basu, the proprietor of widespread confectionery manufacturers Mio Amore and Winkies died combating most cancers on Thursday.
He was 65 and is survived by his spouse, a son and a daughter.
Mr Basu died in a metropolis hospital within the afternoon.
His firm has over 300 Mio Amore shops in West Bengal and Odisha, officers mentioned.
Mr Basu earlier held the franchise of the Monginis model and later arrange his personal model Mio Amore a couple of years in the past.
