In a condolence message on Monday, Lord Paul stated, “Unhappy to be taught concerning the premature demise of former president of India Pranab Mukkherjee”.
“He was a good friend for the final 53 years. He held each main portfolios within the Indian Cupboard, in the end rising to the place of President of India and profitable Bharat Ratna.
“He was an excellent persona who devoted his whole life for the welfare of the nation. My heartfelt condolences to his entire household.”
