Three individuals, together with a pregnant girl, have been rescued from the flood-affected village of Jayapur in Odisha’s Dhenkanal by the district administration and the Odisha Catastrophe Speedy Motion Drive (ODRAF) on Saturday.

As per Jagannath Nayak, a hearth service employee, the 2 youths from the close by Gurujang village have been rescued from floodwaters after they went for a swim within the inundated space.

“The villages of Odapada, Kamakhyanagar Parjang, and Gondia have been utterly flooded by water from the Brahmani river. The 2 males have been rescued after they jumped into the floodwaters for enjoyable however the circulate was too robust they usually misplaced management,” Mr Nayak stated.

He added that the pregnant girl was rescued in a separate incident and brought to a close-by hospital.
