The NIA has arrested an ophthalmologist from a medical school in Bengaluru for allegedly being in contact with ISIS operatives, working to develop a medical and a weaponry-related functions to assist terrorist cadres and furthering its actions within the nation, officers stated Tuesday.

Abdur Rahman, 28, working at MS Ramaiah Medical Faculty, was taken into custody on Monday in reference to the Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP) case being probed by the company, they stated.
