Defence Minister Rajnath Singh met his counterparts from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan in Moscow on Saturday and mentioned methods to additional enhance bilateral defence cooperation with the important thing Central Asian nations.
Mr Singh is in Moscow on a three-day go to to Russia to attend an important assembly of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) defence ministers. On Friday, he held talks along with his Chinese language counterpart Gen. Wei Fenghe on methods to ease escalating border pressure in jap Ladakh.

“Had an especially fruitful assembly with Defence Minister of Tajikistan, Colonel-Normal Sherali Mirzo in Moscow. Our talks included a large spectrum of India-Tajikistan defence relations,” Mr Singh wrote in one other tweet.

The SCO contains eight member states — India, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
It’s Mr Singh’s second go to to Moscow since June. He had represented India on the Victory Day Parade in Moscow on June 24 that commemorated the 75th anniversary of the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany within the Second World Battle.
The SCO, seen as a counterweight to NATO, has emerged as one of many largest transregional worldwide organisations which accounts for nearly 44 per cent of the world inhabitants stretching from the Arctic Ocean to the Indian Ocean and from the Pacific Ocean to the Baltic Sea.
The goal of the SCO is to take care of peace, stability and safety of the area. India grew to become a member of the SCO in 2017.
