German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Wednesday demanded solutions from Russia over the case of opposition determine Alexei Navalny after Berlin stated it had proof he was poisoned with a Novichok nerve agent.

“This has given rise to some very severe questions that solely Russia can and should reply,” Merkel stated.

The German authorities stated Navalny, who fell sick in Siberia in August and was later transferred to Berlin for remedy, had been poisoned with a nerve agent from the Novichok household.
