Former Maharashtra Ranji participant Shekhar Gawli died after falling in a 250-feet-deep gorge in Maharashtra’s Nashik district, police mentioned on Wednesday. Gawli, 45, who performed two top notch matches for Maharashtra, went for trekking within the Western Ghat mountains of Igatpuri hill station in Nashik together with a few of his mates on Tuesday night.  He fell into the gorge after allegedly shedding his steadiness, the police mentioned.

“His physique was discovered at round 10 am on Wednesday. The physique can be handed over to the members of the family after postmortem,” an official from Igatpuri police station instructed PTI.

Gawli was earlier the assistant coach of the Maharashtra cricket workforce and was at present the health coach of the U23 workforce. He was a proper hand batsman and a leg-spinner.
