BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has been named as one of many administrators of the merged Indian Tremendous League franchise ATK-Mohun Bagan forward of the upcoming season. Led by chairman Sanjiv Goneka, who has acquired a majority 80 per cent stake within the century-old Mohun Bagan membership, the Board will meet on July 10 to finalise the membership’s title, jersey and brand. Confirming the event, group co-owner and one of many administrators Utsav Parekh instructed PTI: “Ganguly is among the group co-owners and is 100 per cent eligible to turn into a director. We’ll meet on July 10 for the primary time to finalise our title, jersey and brand.”

On the time of registration with the Ministry of Company Affairs final month, the ‘ATK-Mohun Bagan Personal Restricted’ introduced 5 members — ATK co-owner Utsav Parekh, Mohun Bagan duo of Srinjoy Bose and Debashish Dutta, and two different members — Gautam Ray and Sanjeev Mehra.

“It was only a formality, a paperwork to begin the enterprise formally. Even (group principal proprietor) Goenka was not a part of the Board then. We have now inducted him together with Ganguly,” Parekh mentioned on Sunday.

Earlier than the merger, ATK had received the ISL title thrice whereas Mohun Bagan had lifted I-League trophy twice.
