The assaulting of a retired Naval officer in Mumbai, allegedly by employees of the ruling Shiv Sena, is “form of (a) ‘state-sponsored terror’ scenario, former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stated this afternoon.

Mr Fadnavis – a vocal critic of the Sena-NCP-Congress authorities – additionally stated he had appealed to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray yesterday to “please cease this goonda raj (hooliganism)” and guarantee “robust punishment to those goons”.
