Democratic vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris advised Republicans it was “reckless” to carry Monday’s Supreme Courtroom affirmation listening to amid a pandemic, particularly given the latest outbreak of Covid-19 affecting three US senators.

“This listening to has introduced collectively greater than 50 folks to take a seat inside a closed-door room for hours whereas our nation is going through a lethal airborne virus,” Harris, a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, advised the listening to by way of videolink.

“The choice to carry this listening to now’s reckless and locations facility’s staff, janitorial employees and congressional aides and Capitol Police in danger,” the 55-year-old senator added.
