The Cyberabad police on Monday arrested the chairman of a TV channel for allegedly dishonest folks on the pretext of allocating homes beneath a authorities plan, police mentioned.
Based on the police, the accused has been recognized as Guthula Prashanth, 28, resident of East Godhawari District in Andhra Pradesh. Police seized eight faux flat allotment letters and Rs eight lakh amongst different issues.
Explaining his modus operandi, the police mentioned that Guthula Prashanth used to introduce himself to harmless folks and make them consider that the Telangana authorities has sanctioned double bed room homes situated at Nizampet and Kaithalapur to media folks and he can allocate the homes to them.

Benefiting from the innocence of poor folks, he gave faux allotment order copies to 40 folks belonging to KPHB colony, Kukatpally, Bachupally and Miyapur Police Station limits to make them consider that he’s a real individual, police mentioned.
On getting data from native sources, police arrested Guthula Prashanth.
“One Mahindra XUV car, one Samsung cellular, a Lenovo laptop computer, an HP color printer, eight faux 2BHK home allotment letters, two stamps and Rs eight,00,000 in money had been seized,” police mentioned.
