Twitter on Wednesday stated it has restored accounts that had been mistakenly locked or restricted, hours after some customers reported delay in tweets displaying up on timelines in addition to accounts being locked “by mistake.”

“The accounts that had been mistakenly locked or restricted have been restored. We’re sorry this occurred within the first place,” Twitter Assist tweeted.

A couple of hours again, Twitter stated it’s seeing various accounts which have been locked or restricted by mistake and never as a result of they tweeted about any specific matter.

“We’re seeing various accounts which have been locked or restricted by mistake and never as a result of they tweeted about any specific matter,” Twitter Assist tweeted. “We’re working to undo this and get these accounts again to regular.”

In keeping with a report by CNET, the unintended locking or limiting of accounts comes amid the lead-up to the 2020 US presidential election, because the micro-blogging website seeks to crack down on false and deceptive info spreading through the social community and is ramping up the elimination of accounts and tweets that violate its guidelines.
