Asifabad, Telangana:

Two Maoists had been gunned down by the Telangana Police in Asifabad district on Saturday.

As per V Satyanarayana, Commissioner of Police, Ramagundam the 2 had been taken down round 9 pm final evening.

“There have been six to seven Maoists in whole, out of which we managed to gun down two, whereas the others escaped. Regardless of our efforts to get them to give up, they opened fireplace and the police get together retaliated. Two Maoists had been killed within the cross-fire,” Mr Satyanarayana mentioned.

He added that the operation went on for about an hour and after taking all precautions, the get together recovered two weapons and two package baggage.

The police recognized one particular person as Thukkalu, a resident of the Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh, whereas the opposite is but to be recognized.
