One accused was needed for murdering a police official and looting his AK-47 rifle: Police

Bijapur:

Two Maoists have been arrested from separate locations in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district on Saturday, police mentioned.

Mahesh Yadav (32) was kidnapped from Tindodi village below Bhairamgarh police station limits and Manku Modiyam (32) from Chilnar village below Bijapur police station space, an official mentioned.

Yadav was concerned within the killing of policeman Somaru Poyam and injuring his mother and father at their home in Matwada village on July 1, he mentioned.

“Modiyam was needed for murdering a police official and looting his AK-47 rifle in Pamalwaya space in Bijapur in 2011,” he mentioned.

Safety forces have intensified patrolling in Bastar division, comprising Bastar, Kanker, Kondagaon, Narayanpur, Dantewada, Bijapur and Sukma districts, in view of “martyrs week” being noticed by the ultras from July 28 to August three.
