The Union Housing and City Affairs Ministry has referred to as a gathering with all managing administrators of metro rail firms on September 1 to finalise the usual working procedures (SOPs) for the functioning of metro trains allowed underneath the Unlock4 pointers, an official stated.

The SOPs already circulated with all metro firms shall be mentioned on September 1 via video conferencing, the official stated.

“All managing administrators have been requested to look into the SOP ready by MOHUA earlier due to the present realities. All solutions shall be thought of within the assembly and accordingly, SOP shall be finalised,” the official added.

Metro passengers shall be inspired to observe anti-COVID-19 measures, they stated, including fines shall be imposed on these violating the rules.

In the meantime, the Delhi Metro Rail Company stated it can resume providers for the general public from September 7 in a calibrated method.
Taking to Twitter, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal stated he was “glad” that the metro will resume operations in a phased method.
