Over 7.88 lakh Indians stranded overseas as a consequence of coronavirus pandemic have returned beneath Vande Bharat Mission until July 22, Ministry of Exterior Affairs stated on Thursday.

Addressing the common weekly media briefing, MEA spokesperson Anurag Srivastava stated 1,03,976 Indians who’ve returned from Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh by land borders

“As of July 22, beneath the Vande Bharat Mission a complete of seven,88, 217 Indian Nationals have returned and this contains 1,03,976 Indians who’ve returned from Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh by land borders,” he stated.

The federal government began Vande Bharat Mission on Could 7 to evacuate Indians caught in international nations as a consequence of suspension of flights owing to coronavirus pandemic. The mission is in its fourth section now.

Srivastava stated that within the fourth section of Vande Bharat Mission, 1197 flights have been scheduled to date together with 945 worldwide flights and 252 feeder flights.

“These flights are operated by Air India group, IndiGo, SpiceJet and GoAir. They cowl 29 nations. They”ll be reaching 34 airports in India,” he stated.
