Sixteen nations, together with Nepal, Bhutan and Mauritius, present visa-free entry to Indian passport holders, the Rajya Sabha was knowledgeable on Tuesday.
In a written reply to a query in Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for Exterior Affairs V Muraleedharan stated there are 43 nations which offer visa-on-arrival facility and there are 36 nations which offer e-visa facility to Indian peculiar passport holders.
“There are 16 nations which offer visa-free entry to Indian peculiar passport holders,” Mr Muraleedharan stated.
Barbados, Bhutan, Dominica, Grenada, Haiti, Hong Kong SAR, the Maldives, Mauritius, Montserrat, Nepal, Niue Island, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Samoa, Senegal, Serbia and Trinidad and Tobago, present visa free entry to Indian peculiar passport holders, based on the knowledge supplied by the minister.
Iran, Indonesia and Myanmar had been among the many 43 nations which offer visa-on-arrival facility to Indian peculiar passport holders.
Sri Lanka, New Zealand and Malaysia are among the many are 36 nations which offer e-visa facility to Indian peculiar passport holders, based on the knowledge supplied by the minister.
The federal government has been making efforts to extend the variety of
nations that present visa free journey, visa-on-arrival and e-visa facility in order to additional ease worldwide journey for Indians, Mr Muraleedharan stated.
