Sawan 2020: On ‘Sawan Somwar’, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath performs puja

Sawan 2020: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath carried out puja on the Mansarovar Temple in Gorakhpur, on the auspicious ‘Sawan Somwar’ or the primary Monday of Sawan. Sawan or Shravan, the fourth month within the Hindu Calendar, devoted to Lord Shiva, begins as we speak and ends on August three. Devotees throughout the nation observe quick and pray to Lord Shiva on each ‘Sawan Somwar’.

Yogi Adityanath greeted individuals on Twitter on ‘Sawan Somwar’. “Greetings on the primary ‘Somwar’ of ‘Sawan’ – Lord Shiva’s favorite and most auspicious day. In Varanasi, devotees took a holy dip in Ganga and provided prayers on ‘Sawan Somwar.’ Many gathered on the Kashi Vishwanath Temple this morning. 

Particular puja and aarti was carried out on the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain as we speak. 

Devotees provide prayers at Gauri Shankar Temple in Delhi’s Chandni Chowk on ‘Sawan Somwar’. Temple authorities say precautionary measure to Coronavirus have been maintained.

Sawan can be the second of the Chaturmas or the 4 auspicious months of the 12 months. Mythology says, it’s in Sawan that Lord Shiva had chosen Parvati as his spouse and the month is devoted to Shiva and Parvati.
