Rajiv Gandhi turned India’s youngest Prime Minister at 40.

New Delhi:

Former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi was a “man with an incredible imaginative and prescient, far forward of his occasions”, Congress chief Rahul Gandhi mentioned right now as he remembered his father on his 76th beginning anniversary.

“Rajiv Gandhi was a person with an incredible imaginative and prescient, far forward of his occasions. However above all else, he was a compassionate and loving human being. I’m extremely fortunate and proud to have him as my father. We miss him right now and on a regular basis,” Rahul Gandhi tweeted this morning.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi too paid tribute to Rajiv Gandhi. “On his beginning anniversary, tributes to former Prime Minister Shri Rajiv Gandhi Ji,” PM Modi tweeted.

Rajiv Gandhi, India’s youngest Prime Minister, took over the cost of the Congress in 1984 following the assassination of his mom after which Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. He turned Prime Minister on the age of 40.

Born on August 20 in 1944, Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated by a Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) suicide bomber throughout an election rally in Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu on Might 21, 1991. 
His dying anniversary can be noticed as Anti-Terrorism day.
