A 23-year-old lady was killed after a dashing canter hit a bicycle in north Delhi’s Civil Traces space, following which the driving force of the car was arrested, police stated on Friday.

The incident passed off on Wednesday. The one that died has been recognized as Child, a resident of Loni in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad district, they stated.

A grievance was lodged by Child’s husband Prince Kumar (25) concerning the accident, the police stated.

In accordance with the complainant, he was returning house from Sadar Bazar alongside together with his spouse on Wednesday when the dashing canter hit their bicycle round 12 pm and the couple fell on the street, they stated.

The canter driver stopped to verify on the couple. Child was rushed to the AIIMS Trauma Centre the place she was declared introduced useless, they added.

“A case underneath sections 279 (rash driving or using on a public manner) and 304A (inflicting demise by negligence) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered at Civil Traces police station and the accused driver has been arrested,” senior police official (north) Monika Bhardwaj stated.

The accused has been recognized as Sabir (51), a resident of Abu Fazal in Okhla, the police stated.
