The physique of a 35-year-old lady, who had gone lacking final week, was recovered from Hindan Canal within the Indirapuram space, police stated Monday.
The police stated a person has been arrested who confessed to killing her by slitting her throat and throwing the physique into the canal after a tiff over cash. The lady, a widow, was in a relationship with the accused, they stated.
The lady, a resident Makanpur village in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad district, had gone lacking on August 6 and her household filed a criticism with the police, Superintendent of Police (Metropolis) Maneesh Mishra instructed PTI.
She used to work at a spa.
The accused, Mustafa, instructed the police that he had met her a few months in the past and subsequently developed a relationship.
“Of late, she began demanding cash for her residing expenditure, resulting in frequent quarrels,” the accused instructed the police.
On August 6, he known as her to his store on the pretext of giving cash and killed her by slitting her throat by a knife and threw the physique into the canal, the police stated.
Police have recovered the knife and the cell phone of the girl from Mustafa’s possession. He has been despatched to jail, Mr Mishra added.
