4 folks have been killed and 5 injured on Sunday when their multi utility automobile crashed right into a stationary truck on Nationwide Freeway 53 in Chhattisgarh’s Mahasamund district, police mentioned.

The incident befell within the early hours of the day close to Teka village below Pithora police station limits when the Tata Sumo was on its method to Maharashtra from West Bengal, mentioned NK Swarnkar, station home officer (SHO) Pithora police station.

“The motive force apparently misplaced management of the automobile and it rammed a stationary truck after hitting a street divider close to an eatery. Whereas three occupants died on the spot, the fourth died whereas being shifted to a neighborhood hospital,” he mentioned.

“The motive force and 4 others have been injured and have been shifted to Dr BR Ambedkar Memorial hospital in Raipur. The names of males who died within the accident are Bharat Ravidas, Mithun Sinha, Samal Sinha and V Das, all aged between 19 to 25 years. They have been going to Lakhni city in Bhandara district in Maharashtra from Uttar Dinajpur district in West Bengal to work as canal labourers,” he mentioned.

A case was registered in opposition to the automobile’s driver, Krishna Sinha, below sections 279 (rash driving), 337 (inflicting damage by act endangering life or private security of others) and 304A (inflicting demise by negligence) of the IPC, he mentioned.
