Twenty-two Congress staff in flood-hit Madhya Pradesh’s Chhindwara district have been accused of “making an attempt to homicide” a senior district officer, whose face they blackened throughout a protest on Friday, the police stated at present.

“After the protesters smeared black color on the SDM’s face, 22 Congress staff, together with Bunty Patel, have been booked,” Superintendent of Police Vivek Agrawal stated, including that provisions of the Catastrophe Administration Act-2005 have additionally been invoked primarily based on a grievance filed by Mr Patel.
