A Punjab man, who was allegedly seen in a video working his automotive over a canine in a premeditated method, has been arrested from the state’s Kapurthala district, police mentioned on Wednesday, including 12 canine have been recovered from his home.

The video, shared by BJP MP Maneka Gandhi who known as out the cruelty, reveals a person putting a canine in entrance of his automotive and working it over. The canine is seen yelping out of excruciating ache within the clip.

“That is Gurinder Singh s/o Harbans Singh, village Dandupur, Kapurthala in Punjab. He’s a breeder and vendor of canine for canine fights. That is what he does to canine when they’re not helpful. This canine died after 30 minutes of being in excruciating ache,” she had tweeted.

26-year-old Gurjinder Singh, who was lacking, has been arrested on Wednesday, Kapurthala Deputy Superintendent of Police Sarwan Singh mentioned.

A case below related sections of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act and the Indian Penal Code on the grievance of a consultant of the Individuals for Animals has been registered, police had mentioned.

Ms Gandhi, who represents Sultanpur constituency in Lok Sabha, is a famous environmentalist and animal rights activist. She has been elevating points associated to cruelty towards animals for years. She additionally runs a non-profit Individuals For Animals.
