The Calcutta Excessive Courtroom on Monday turned down a plea for a CBI investigation into the demise of BJP MLA Debendra Nath Roy from Bengal’s Hemtabad.
Chandima Roy, the spouse of the MLA, had filed the petition earlier than the courtroom on Friday in search of a probe by the central company into his demise, alleging that he was murdered.
Rejecting the plea, Justice Shivakant Prasad directed the extra director common of the Prison Investigation Division (CID) — which is investigating the case of MLA’s demise — to observe the probe.
