Dindori, Madhya Pradesh:

A case has been registered in opposition to a police station in-charge in Madhya Pradesh’s Dindori for allegedly assaulting a girl constable, an official mentioned on Saturday.

The incident occurred on Friday and the accused, who’s on a run, has been suspended, he mentioned.

A girl constable has complained that the cop was pressurising her for marriage, mentioned police official CK Sirame, including that the cop forcibly entered the constable’s dwelling and assaulted her.

The official has been charged below sections 294 (obscene act), 323 (voluntarily inflicting harm) 354 (assault or prison drive to girl with intent to outrage her modesty), 452 (trespassing) and 506 (prison intimidation) amongst others of IPC.

The official was suspended by Extra Director Common of Police (Shahdol Vary) G Janardhan, officers mentioned.
