“Nevertheless, below the present hybrid system (of governance), the Delhi authorities can’t take a mortgage from the RBI. The Centre ought to take a mortgage from the RBI and provides it to the Delhi authorities,” he stated.

Mr Sisodia additionally charged the Centre with failing to fulfil its promise to the states on the launch of the Items and Companies Tax (GST) regime 4 years in the past.

“The Centre had promised that it’ll pay GST compensation to states on the fee of 14 % for 5 years in case of income shortfall.
