DRDO has developed P7 Heavy Drop System which is able to para dropping navy shops as much as 7-ton weight class from IL 76 plane.

This technique is totally indigenous and being manufactured by L&T who makes the platform system, parachutes manufactured by Ordnance Manufacturing facility, DRDO mentioned.

This technique has been made beneath the Make in India programme.
