The Narcotics Management Bureau (NCB) on Saturday mentioned it has seized cocaine price about Rs four crore, arrested an individual from Mumbai and is probing an unlawful community of narcotics distribution within the western metropolis that has “potential linkages” with “high-profile” drug customers.
The federal company seized a complete of 670 gm of cocaine from a parcel that arrived in Delhi from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia early this month.
“The contraband was hid in a parcel containing tailoring materials or thread roll,” NCB deputy director (operations) KPS Malhotra mentioned.
The company performed a “managed supply” operation and later arrested the consignee of the parcel, S Ghangale, a resident of Vasai space in Mumbai, he mentioned.
The managed supply mechanism empowers NCB to maintain the parcel supply alive, even after seizing the contraband, and changing the identical with a dummy parcel.
