Relations of a priest, who died due to burn injuries after he was attacked by a bunch of individuals over a land dispute in village in Rajasthan on Thursday night time, have refused to carry out the final rites of his physique until all their calls for are met by the state authorities.

“We can’t carry out the final rites of the physique till our calls for are met. We would like Rs 50 lakhs compensation and a authorities job. All accused have to be arrested and motion needs to be taken towards the Patwari (income official) and policemen who’re supporting the accused. We would like safety,” Lalit, a relative of priest Babulal advised ANI.

Sub-Divisional Justice of the Peace (SDM) Om Prakash Meena, in the meantime, reached Babulal’s village to request the household to carry out the final rites.

“Individuals gathered for his final rites. They’ve made some calls for from the administration and state authorities. We’re requesting the priest’s household to carry out final rites as two days have handed for the reason that demise,” the official mentioned.

The temple priest died of his accidents on Thursday night time after he was allegedly burnt alive by some individuals over encroachment of temple land at Bukna village in Sapotra, Karauli district.

The police have arrested the principle accused, Kailash Meena in reference to the incident.
