Cricket South Africa (CSA) Director of Cricket and former skipper Graeme Smith will take a knee to point out his assist to the “Black Lives Matter” motion at Saturday’s Solidarity Cup match at SuperSport Park, Centurion. The previous cricketer voiced his assist for the motion and stated that there is no such thing as a room for neutrality on this matter. Smith backed bowler Lungi Nigidi and stated that he [Smith] will be a part of the groups in taking the knee.
Earlier, 31 former and present Proteas cricketers together with Makhaya Ntini, Vernon Philander, JP Duminy, and Herschelle Gibbs had signed a letter showcasing their assist in direction of the Black Lives Matter marketing campaign and pacer Ngidi.
“As director of cricket at Cricket South Africa, a former Protea and captain, a teammate, a father, a brother, a buddy and most significantly fellow South African, I’m proud to assist this extremely vital motion,” stated Smith in his Twitter publish.
“There is no such thing as a room for neutrality on this matter. I stand with Lungi Ngidi and our brothers and sisters world wide. I’ll be a part of the staff tomorrow in taking the knee on the 3TC Solidarity Cup,” he added.

Earlier, pacer Ngidi had urged the CSA board to point out their solidarity for the Black Lives Matter motion and this got here underneath criticism from former gamers corresponding to Pat Symcox, Boeta Dippenaar, Rudi Steyn and Brian McMillan.
