Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Thursday mentioned that Hathras-like incidents is not going to be tolerated within the state and people indulging in crime towards girls can be handled severely.

His assertion comes amid a nationwide outrage over the dying of a 19-year-old Dalit lady from Uttar Pradesh’s Hathras on Tuesday, days after she was raped by 4 males on September 14.

Uddhav Thackeray was talking whereas just about inaugurating the newly-formed Mira-Bhayandar Vasai-Virar police commissionerate.

“When incidents just like the one which occurred in UP happen, we often talk about it for some time after which overlook. However in Maharashtra, such incidents is not going to be allowed to occur,” he mentioned.
