BJP MP Jyotiraditya Scindia on Thursday condemned the desecration of Dr BR Ambedkar’s statue in Madhya Pradesh’s Shivpuri district.
He had requested the administration to take stern motion towards the offender, he added.
“I strongly condemn the incident in Picchore city. Such incidents are very painful…individuals revere Ambedkar quite a bit as he framed the nation’s Structure,” Mr Scindia mentioned in an announcement.
“I’ve directed the district administration to behave sternly within the matter by figuring out the offender and likewise restore the statue with full honours,” he mentioned.
An unidentified, masked man on Tuesday night time desecrated the statue which stands close to the bus stand in Picchore. The police has introduced a reward of Rs 5,000 for details about him.
