A middle-aged man, accused of posting objectionable feedback towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on social media, was arrested in Better Noida on Friday, police stated.

Yogesh Chaudhary, alias Shiv Pratap, final week made the remarks on Fb after which an area BJP office-bearer approached the Jewar police station.

“Chaudhary has been arrested after an FIR was lodged towards him on the idea of a grievance made by BJP’s Jewar unit chief Ashok Sharma on October 5, alleging indecent and objectionable feedback towards the UP chief minister,” a police spokesperson stated.

“Chaudhary had made related feedback towards the prime minister additionally,” police official Jewar Umesh Bahadur informed PTI.

He stated the accused is a property seller however identifies himself as a “farmer” and “chief of a farmers” union”.

The case has been lodged beneath Indian Penal Code sections 153A (selling enmity between teams) and 504 (intentional insult to impress breach of peace), in line with police.
