A 23-year-old lady was allegedly raped by a person in a park close to Pink Fort in north Delhi, police stated on Tuesday. The incident passed off on Saturday and the accused has been arrested, they stated.
The person and the sufferer are vagabonds they usually knew one another, a senior police officer stated.
On Saturday evening, an individual after recognizing the girl, who was bleeding from her head, referred to as the police management room. She was taken to a hospital the place she advised medical doctors in regards to the incident, the officer stated.
The girl advised police that the person raped her within the park and when she resisted, hit her with a stone, police stated.
She has additionally alleged that the person had kidnapped her daughter. Nonetheless, police discovered the woman later, they stated.
“The incident passed off on Saturday. A case was registered underneath related sections of the Indian Penal Code on the Kotwali police station and the accused was arrested,” police official Monika Bhardwaj stated.
