“Modi Idlis”, priced at Rs 10 for 4 items, named after Prime Minister Narendra Modi, are all set to be provided to the general public at Tamil Nadu’s Salem, courtesy a senior BJP functionary.

“Modi idli” posters have been put up in varied components of the town as a part of giving huge publicity to the initiative, a brainchild of BJP propaganda cell state vice chairman Mahesh.

The posters have the image of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the left facet, ‘4 idlis for Rs 10’ written on the centre and a photograph of Mahesh.

“Lotus hero Mahesh presents Modi idli. 4 idlis for Rs 10 with sambar, to be launched quickly in Salem. Made with fashionable kitchen tools, tasty and wholesome,” the posters learn.

Salem is the native district of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Okay Palaniswami.

“Bharath” R Balasubramanian, BJP Tamil Nadu secretary, Media, mentioned the plan was to open 22 retailers initially to promote the idlis and relying on its success, the variety of shops will likely be elevated.

Equipment for the mission, to make 40,000 idlis per day has already arrived and is anticipated to start out subsequent week, he mentioned.
