A Bhadohi court docket on Sunday despatched Nishad Celebration MLA Vijay Mishra to 14-day judicial custody. He was taken to the Naini Central Jail.
Bhadohi’s Gyanpur MLA was arrested in a case of felony intimidation and wrongful confinement lodged by his relative towards him, his spouse Ramlali Mishra, a member of the state legislative council, and son Vishnu Mishra.
Their relative had accused them of land seize after threatening him. Bhadohi Superintendent of Police Ram Badan Singh stated the MLA was introduced earlier than the court docket of Judicial Justice of the Peace Alok Kumar.
He was remanded in 14-day of judicial custody, the SP stated.
The SP stated the jailor of the district jail, Ashok Kumar Gautam, had knowledgeable that the MLA “was not secure” there, following which he was taken to the Naini Central Jail. The DM has issued orders to shift the MLA to central jail, he stated.
A police workforce from Bhadohi had on Saturday arrested Vijay Mishra, detained by the Madhya Pradesh Police in Agar Malwa on its request.
Vijay Mishra was detained by the Madhya Pradesh Police on Friday whereas he was on his solution to Kota in Rajasthan through Ujjain.
The SP stated after arresting the MLA, the UP Police workforce led by DSP Kalu Singh produced him in a court docket at Madhya Pradesh’s Agar Malwa and introduced him to Bhadohi on a transit remand.
Vijay Mishra, his spouse Ramlali Mishra and son Vishnu Mishra had been charged below related sections of the Indian Penal Code.
The MLA at present has 73 instances registered towards him and has been booked below the Goonda Act and the stringent Nationwide Safety Act previously.
