All checkpoints alongside Jammu-Pathankot freeway have been placed on excessive alert and safety strengthened following an incident of carjacking by unidentified armed individuals within the neighbouring Punjab, a police official stated at this time.
The Director Basic of Punjab Police had sounded an alert in his state, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir after three individuals snatched a non-public automotive from its proprietor after injuring him with a firearm in Dinanagar space of Gurdaspur on Friday night.
