Ludhiana:

A person has been charged for allegedly injuring a canine with bricks in Punjab’s Ludhiana, police stated on Friday.

In accordance with the police, the person was working as a safety guard in a residential society. The police registered a case after the video of him hitting the canine went viral.

“Safety personnel of a residential society in Ludhiana allegedly injured a canine by hitting it with bricks. The canine died later. An FIR has been registered underneath sections of IPC and Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act primarily based on residents” statements. The probe is being accomplished,” Jagdev Singh, SHO stated.

“The video of the incident has surfaced on social media,” stated Mr Singh.
