Sena will assist Opposition’s candidate for Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman election: Sanjay Raut

Rajya Sabha MP and Shiv Sena chief Sanjay Raut on Sunday introduced that his get together will assist the Opposition’s candidate Manoj Jha of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) for Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman election.

“Shiv Sena will assist Opposition’s candidate for Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman election,” Mr Raut informed ANI.

Rashtriya Janata Dal MP Manoj Jha had on September 11 filed nomination because the Opposition’s candidate for the put up of Deputy Chairman in Rajya Sabha. Mr Jha is contesting towards NDA candidate and JD-U MP Harivansh.

The put up of deputy chairman fell vacant after the time period of Harivansh Singh resulted in April. The election is scheduled to be held on September 14, the first-day of the monsoon session of Parliament.

The entire power of Rajya Sabha is 245 and if the election is held, the NDA candidate is anticipated to win with none hurdle. Events like TRS, YSR, BJD, AIADMK are prone to assist the NDA candidate Harivansh Narayan Singh.
